Empowering Local Economies through Education, Energy & Entrepreneurship.

June 10, 2015

Praxis Africa organized the 1st international conference on DEVELOPING LOCAL GOVERNANCE CAPACITY TO PROMOTE PARTNERSHIP & FOSTER ENTREPRENEURSHIP under the auspices of the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development in cooperation with the Ministry of Food and Agriculture, the Ministry of Trade and Industries and Local Government Service.

The theme of this first conference focused on Empowering Local Economies through Education, Energy & Entrepreneurship.

Local Economic Development within the context of deeper decentralization of decision-making

and responsibilities to local communities has emerged as the key to progress and prosperity in Ghana and across the world. Successful local or regional development is a process that

identifies the best future economic prospects and empowers local leaders with the foresight and skills to work more effectively with entrepreneurs and partners in business, education and government.
