Praxis Africa is a network of development professionals with a demonstrated commitment and capability to implement sustainable development in their home country and in cooperation with other affiliates throughout the African continent. Affiliates are currently located in Ghana, Liberia, Tanzania, and Togo. Affiliate enterprises in Africa are operated as Legally Separate Entities (LSEs) that work closely with Praxis Africa Ltd but are independently governed. Their primary focus is on development and project implementation related to Praxis Africa’s core areas of agriculture, food, water and energy.

Delore Zimmerman, Ph.D.

Founder & President

Delore Zimmerman is a founder, President and CEO of Praxis Strategy Group, an economic research, policy, strategy and development company. He has over 30 years experience working with leaders, innovators and entrepreneurs in business, government, higher education and the non-profit sector to develop and implement action oriented initiatives and business ventures. Delore co-founded Praxis Africa in Ghana in 2009, Liberia Praxis Africa in 2016 and Praxis Solutions in Tanzania in 2020. 

 

He is the Development Chief (Nkosuhene) for the Awutu Mankessim Traditional Area in Ghana.  His stool name is Nai Awuah Kotoko, i.e. the porcupine  warrior.  In Liberia he is known as Chief Kozie, i.e. our own.

Tony Mensah-Abrampah

Ghana Country Director

Tony is an agricultural media practitioner and a founder and the producer of the Farm Channel. He led the organization of Ghana’s 2105, 2016 and 2018 annual Local Government and Business Innovation conferences, whose participants included representatives of Ghana’s  MMDAs (metropolitan, municipal, district assemblies). He is active in designing and implementing water and sanitation initiatives. Tony has over 20 years of NGO management experience and 15 years in community development and communications.   He has been involved in microenterprise and alternative liveihood development in farming, forestry, fishing and tourism.

 

Tony is the Gyaasehene of Kotropei with the Stool name Ogyegu Korankye Wontomi II

Thomas Mimykei Wuo

Liberia Country Manager

Thomas is an entrepreneur with interests in modernizing Liberian agriculture and deploying sustainable technologies for water, sanitation, and energy in Liberia. Thomas received his Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration from the University of Liberia in 1994. In 2016 Thomas graduated from Columbia Southern University with a Master’s degree in Business Administration and another Master’s degree in Public Administration. Mr. Wuo has served in the administration of many Liberian community organizations.  In 2014, Thomas founded the TMW Foundation for Health and Education, which provides medical and educational donations to schools and health care providers in Liberia.

Mohamed Kamara

Senior Agriculture Advisor

Mr. Kamara is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Agriculture & Infrastructure Investment Company (AIIC) with Head office in New Zone junction, Paynesville Monrovia, Sub offices and farms in Jarmulor Town, QuardouGboni District, Voinjama and Foya Statutory Districts.

 

He is actively working with the Liberian Ministry of Agriculture in the capacity of Advisor to the Minister on Rice, and President of the National Rice Federation of Liberia. 

 

Mr. Kamara is currently serving as a Board Member of the Regional Rice Federation of West Africa, and Board Member of Praxis Africa Liberia.

 

Mohamed V. Kamara is married with two children, and a native of Lofa County, Republic of Liberia.  He is a candidate in Bachelor of Science for General Agriculture and holds an Associate of Art in Marketing from the Liberia College of Technology in 1998. 

 

In addition, Mr. Kamara also has extensive training in Post harvest, Lowland Preparation, Marketing, and Research, Human Resource management, and Business planning.

Diana Gasper

Tanzania Country Director

Diana is the founder and managing director of Go Extra Miles Co. Ltd, a company specialized in traveling for domestic tours in Tanzania and international business and trade missions in Asia, North America, the Middle East and Europe. Her passion to empower others, especially women, influenced her to establish a not for profit organization called STUKA, whose prime objective is to link and empower young women entrepreneurs to be mentored by motivational and professional speakers and experts.

Hamzat Amoussa Koriko, Ph.D.

Togo Country Manager

Hamzat started his career in theater in Lomé and went on to work in Europe, the United States and Armenia as an educator and community organizer where he uses art to address social issues around equity and empowerment. With a Ph.D. in Educational Foundations and Research with a focus on social development, Hamzat has published plays and won multiple awards for his community engagement work and is notable for his expertise and leadership in project design management. He has helped implement development projects in Armenia, Togo, and the USA.

Kaahwa Jean
Uganda Country Director

Kaahwa Jean Rwamukaga is an agribusiness professional serving as the Team Leader at Africa Agribusiness Services Limited. He has 10 years’ experience in the Agribusiness Sector in Africa facilitating a number of investments, projects and capacity building initiatives aimed at empowering farmers, SMEs, farmer groups and cooperatives in access to finance, mechanization and skills impartation.

 

He  has served as the AGCO Africa Ambassador 2015, a Panelist at the Global Forum for Food and Agriculture, African Green Revolution Forum, and is a member of the Global Farmer’s Round Table.

 

He has been instrumental in conceptualizing and implementation of several investments and Interventions in the agriculture sector.
