
Essau Peterson Pwelle

Essau P. Pwelle is the co-founder of Praxis Solutions (T) Ltd and a multifaceted professional with expertise in traditional African arts, education, and sustainable tourism development. A celebrated African banjoist and traditional artist, Essau also serves as a lecturer, historian, and arts educator, dedicated to preserving and promoting African cultural heritage.
He is also the co-founder of Kei Tours and Safaris Ltd, based in Arusha, where he oversees operations, tourism promotion, program development, and start-up consulting for small-scale hotels, hostels, and lodges.
Essau currently contributes to the Tanzanian government's Build a Better Tomorrow Youth Initiative (BBT-YI) under the Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries. Through his work with Praxis Africa, he supports the implementation of various community-based projects, including fish cage farming and seaweed farming initiatives led by women on Zanzibar Island.
He is pursuing certification in hospitality, travel, and tourism through Penn Foster College in Washington, DC, and previously completed a graduate certificate in Administrative Office Management through a program supported by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
